Frequently Asked Questions

What time does my child come to school? 

Students who eat breakfast should arrive at 7:30 a.m.  They will eat in the cafeteria and be released to classrooms at 7:50 a.m. 

Buses will arrive by 7:45 a.m., allowing students to have time to eat breakfast. 

Students who do not eat breakfast can come to campus at 7:50 a.m. and go directly to their classrooms (entering through the cafeteria doors). 

Students are not allowed on campus before 7:30 a.m. as there is no adult supervision before this time. 

In the morning, ALL students will enter through the cafeteria doors (located in the back of the school). 

Where do I drop my child off? 

You can use the student drop off area which is located near Sturgeon Ave., across from gazebo/picnic area.  Please do not park or leave your car unattended.  This area is a fire lane. 

Parents can park in the parking lot and walk student to the classroom. 

For PM kindergarten only, Parents will meet teachers outside of the front entrance.  Meriwether staff will greet kindergarten bus riders.

How will my child be released at the end of the day? 

Students in grades K-2 will exit out the front doors.  Teachers will dismiss walkers, bike riders, and bus riders.  Teachers will walk student to the parent pick up area, (located near Sturgeon Ave., across from gazebo/picnic area) where students will load into cars. 

Students in grades 3-5 will exit out the back doors.  Teachers will dismiss walkers, bike riders and bus riders.  Teachers will walk students to the parent pickup area, (located near Sturgeon Ave., across from gazebo/picnic area), where students will load into cars. 

How will I let my child’s teacher know if the mode of transportation changes? 

Please send a note with your child.  If a student does not have a note, they will be instructed to go home as usual.
