Principal Message

Meriwether Principal Eugenia Wimberly

Greetings, Team Meriwether! We are happy to have you on the Explorer team as each of your voices is important for the success of our children. We appreciate your support in countless ways!

Pastries with the Principal:

Speaking of your voices, I have created a platform for you to bring your voices to the table. On the last Tuesday of each month, from 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., please join me in our cafeteria for Pastries with the Principal. This is an opportunity to have conversations about our strengths, room for improvement and more. Feel free to bring your children with you.

Substitutes Needed:

A skilled substitute offers a significant, positive impact on the quality of education in the absence of the permanent employee. Our district is committed to providing information and professional development opportunities necessary to fulfill your responsibilities.

We encourage you to seek out and participate in the opportunities available to you. We are excited about your potential here and what you can contribute to our organization. We hope that you will find considerable reward and satisfaction in your work in our schools and that you will be in such demand that you will be scheduling your substitute assignments weeks in advance.

If you are interested in permanent employment opportunities with Clover Park School District, please be sure your online application is complete: https://cloverpark.tedk12.com/hire/Index.aspx

Volunteer Opportunities:  https://www.cloverpark.k12.wa.us/cms/one.aspx?portalId=236158&pageId=23551644

All potential volunteers need to complete a Washington State Patrol Criminal History form each school year before beginning their service in Clover Park School District.

Meriwether’s volunteer needs:

Classroom Support

Support classroom teachers in a variety of tasks, including small group work with students, materials preparation, and field trips.

Lunch Buddies

Serve a positive adult role model as you eat lunch with your assigned student or students every week.

Office Support

Work outside the classroom, supporting school staff and teachers with a range of office tasks, including copies, assembling materials for distribution, and preparing for school events.

Hazel Health:

Clover Park School District has launched a new health services program, and we want to make sure your family has access to these services all year long. With parent or guardian permission, students can speak with a Hazel mental health professional right from school or at home.

On-demand medical visits are currently available at home and at school! Mental health services are also available.

  • Scheduled short-term therapy visits: No waitlist for scheduled therapy sessions for coping with everything from anxiety, depression and grief to peer and family relationships and bullying.
  • Care management to local resources: Referrals to local providers for continuity of care
  • Coordination: Communication with families, local health providers and school staff

Please note, Hazel Health will not provide care related to sexual or reproductive health. In addition, Hazel cannot complete sports or annual physicals and cannot administer vaccinations.

Families - You can learn more at https://my.hazel.co/cloverpark/info. If you have already completed the form, thank you! You can help us reach 100% of families this year by reminding your fellow Clover Park School District families to opt-in to this new service.
